Starting in the ancient capital, Beijing, you’ll wander the halls of the Forbidden City and try your hand at making the perfect dumpling. From there you’ll discover what’s so great about the Great Wall before immersing yourself into the Pingyao ancient town. After that, marvelling at the terracotta army in Xian. No trip to China is complete without seeing pandas and we can’t let you leave without experiencing the brilliance of Shanghai. There truly is magic around every corner.

Day 1Arrive Beijing
You’ve made it to Beijing! Enjoy an afternoon of unwinding and settling in at the hotel before gathering for dinner together.
Day 2Beijing
Today we’ll explore Tiananmen Square, the impressive Forbidden City and the Beijing Planning Exhibition in the morning. Then, after a scrumptious lunch, you’ll experience the breathtaking royal Summer Palace before hitting Wangfujing food street for dinner.

Day 3Beijing
Enjoy a picnic lunch with spectacular views while on the Great Wall of China. After lunch there will be ample time to walk, climb and explore sections of the wall. Return to Beijing in the late afternoon. This evening, enjoy an authentic Peking Duck Dinner.

Day 4Beijing
Ready, set, go! Today we start by visiting the awe-inspiring Temple of Heaven, as well as having a private Tai Chi class. Catch a lift by pedicab through the Hutong district before meeting a local family and learning how to make dumplings for lunch! In the afternoon you can choose between visiting Da Shi La and Qianmen Street or have a tea appreciation experience at the Laoshe Tea house.

Day 5Pingyao
Today you’ll experience the ancient and old world culture of the city of Pingyao. After catching the morning train to the city, take in the the town sights, city wall, government offices, local museum and monastery.

Today we mix things up! Learn about Chinese culture at the Qiao Family Compound in the morning. Then, the afternoon is yours to do as you wish.
Day 7Xian
Feeling adventurous? Today you can choose to cycle on the top of the ancient city wall of Xian. After arriving the in morning by train you’ll get to explore the city before tasting the local delicacies of the Muslim quarter on our food tour.

Steep yourself in the fascinating history showcased at the Terracotta Museum before taking part in a noodle making demonstration over lunch. Next up? Exploring the Yaodong Cave Dwelling and a riveting evening and dinner spent at the Tang Dynasty show.

Day 9Chengdu
This morning you’ll get to witness a traditional dragon and waist drum dance at the Nansuo Village in Hu County. Then, it’s off to visit the home of artist, Zhang Qingyi before catching a train from Xian to Chengdu.

It’s Panda day! First stop, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center. After lunch, you’ll head to the Kuan & Zhai Alley People’s park and then enjoy a hot pot dinner and face changing performance.

Enjoy a full day tour to Leshan and the Giant Buddha. The 71 meter high Leshan Giant Buddha is carved out of a cliff face at the confluence of 2 rivers.

After flying to Shanghai you’ll get to choose one of these three afternoon activities: a walking tour at the well known Tianzifang Art District, private cooking class or a Chinese calligraphy class. Then, warm up for an acrobatic show in the evening by walking along the Bund.

Today is jam packed with exploring the Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden and the Bund. Enjoy some last dim sums for lunch before free time to explore the city.
