ADVENTURE IN THE ANDES - If you’ve ever seen a travel brochure, you’ve probably seen a photo of Peru. Well, Machu Picchu to be precise. The ancient Inca citadel, perched in the mountains has captured the imaginations of travellers for dozens of years. And rightfully so. But Peru is so much more than this one (incredible) sight. Its ancient Inca heritage and modern Spanish roots intertwine to create a truly unique cultural hybrid. But in addition to all this, Peru is also home to the mighty Amazon rainforest, jaw-dropping Andes and beautiful Pacific ocean beaches. Peru truly has it all. *** 2021 Price: $3998p.p. is available on Mar 8, Apr 5, May 3, Jun 7, Jul 5, Aug 2, Sep 6, Oct 4, Nov 1, and Dec 6 departures, please see details below ***

We land in the capital city of Lima and get acquainted with its colonial history and culture. We then make our way to the Sacred Valley in the Andean highlands, experiencing traditional Peruvian culture and food. Of course, we spend a good deal of time exploring and marvelling at Machu Picchu. From there we make our way to the delightful city of Cusco where we dive deeper into the cultural treasures and wonders of Peru. Our last stop is at the Uros and Taquile islands, where you can soak up some sun before heading back home.
Day 1Arrive Lima
You’ve arrived in Lima, one of the world’s largest desert capital cities! Spend the evening getting settled in and ready for a real adventure!
Today is reserved for the best that Lima has to offer. Explore Lima old town, main square and cathedral, as well as the Larco museum and the love park. After a full morning you’ll get to enjoy the afternoon as you wish.
Day 3Sacred Valley
Get insight into ancient Inca history while exploring the Sacred Valley region this morning. You’ll then have a free afternoon to recharge whichever way you do this best.
Day 4Sacred Valley
You choose! Today, either experience the largely intact and untouched local villages of the Sacred Valley, or head to Chinchero town to explore its unique history.
Day 5Aguas Calientes
After catching a train through mountains and valleys to Aguas Calientes, you’ll get to take a guided tour to the magnificent Machu Picchu site.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Relaxation is the name of the game this morning. Then, we catch the train to the town of Cusco.
Be bowled away by the charming colonial heritage of Cusco as you wander the Coricancha Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo Temple and Puka Pukara. Feeling weary? Spend the afternoon re-charging however you feel like it.
With all that Cusco has to offer it’ll be hard to choose one of these options for the day: a local Andean music experience, a cooking class, a trip to the market and cultural project of Awana Kancha, or explore at leisure with your own car and guide.
Next up - the city of Puno! This city is situated on one of the highest lakes in the world. After arriving you’ll visit the Sillustani Tombs as well as the small town of Atuncolla.
Today you’ll get to take in island life on Lake Titicaca. Meet the local Uru people of Urus island before heading to the largest island on the lake, Taquile.
