Day 1Arrive Taipei
Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2Taipei
The morning guided tour that visits Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to see the hourly changing guard ritual, explore the National Palace Museum, the Presidential Office Building, the Martyrs' Shrine and Xingtian Temple. Return to hotel for refreshment. This evening, join a culinary tour with an open mind and an empty stomach. First visit Longshan temple, the oldest and most famous temple in Taipei, then try few examples of mouth-watering street food at Huaxi Street Night Market, see how you eat like a local and gain an insight into the old and new trends of Taiwanese food culture. Still hungry? Let's us bring you to the most famous steamed dumplings restaurant, Din Tai Fung and try their hot savory dumplings. Before returning to the hotel, make a stop at the Taipei 101, one of the landmark buildings of Taipei city. (Ticket to Taipei 101 observatory level is optional and can be purchased on the spot).

Day 3Taroko Gorge
Depart early in this morning by train to Hualien. Start your full day Taroko Gorge National Park tour. This national park is famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. Four million years ago, the island of Taiwan was formed by the collision of plates. After millions of years of wind erosion, the marble rocks were exposed and cut by Liwu River, creating impressive grand canyons. On this tour, your tour director will show you few remarkable sites such as Shakadang Trail, Changchun Temple, Swallow Caves, Tianxiang, Qixing Lake, and Hualien Stone Sculpture Park. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After tour, return to Taipei.
