Next, visit the trendy COEX Mall, a cultural hotspot that attracts visitors for its modern appeal. Take a moment to relax at the breathtaking Byeolmadang Library, a magnificent public space that will inspire you.
Conclude your day at the N Seoul Tower observatory on Mt. Namsan, where you’ll be captivated by panoramic views of the sprawling cityscape of Seoul. After a day filled with sights and experiences, return to your hotel, energized and inspired.
BreakfastDay 3Seoul - Daegu
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before check-out. After checking out, you'll be picked up from the hotel for a transfer to the Korean Folk Village, located outside of Seoul. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich traditional culture of the 18th and 19th centuries, as villagers demonstrate their authentic lifestyle and crafts.
Next, we’ll head to the stunning Mt. Songnisan National Park to explore Beopjusa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts the tallest Buddha statue in Korea. The surrounding forest park is perfect for a refreshing walk, allowing you to connect with nature.
Finally, we'll drive effortlessly to Daegu via the expressway, where you’ll unwind and enjoy a restful overnight stay in the vibrant city.
BreakfastDay 4Daegu - Gyeongju
Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel, setting the tone for a day filled with discovery and culture. Immerse yourself in the world of traditional healing at the Daegu Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine, where you’ll learn about the rich history of herbal medicine that has thrived since the 17th century at the Yangnyeongsi Market. Next, step back in time at Seomun Market, one of the three major markets from the Joseon dynasty, where history comes alive through its vibrant stalls.
Then, embark on a journey to Gyeongju, the heart of the Silla Kingdom from 57 BC to 935 AD, often referred to as the "Museum without Walls" for its 52 designated historical sites. Relish a unique experience with traditional tea at a charming tea café, allowing you to savor the flavors of Korean culture. Continue your exploration at the Cheomseongdae Astronomical Observatory and the Royal Tumuli Park, where royal tombs echo stories of the past. You’ll have the rare chance to enter an excavated tomb, revealing the fascinating construction and burial practices of ancient kings.
Finish your enriching day with an overnight stay in Gyeongju, leaving you inspired and eager for more adventures.
BreakfastDay 5Gyeongju -Busan
After a delightful breakfast, prepare for an half-day exploration of Gyeongju, often referred to as the "Museum Without Walls" due to its incredible concentration of historical treasures. Our tour will focus on two of its most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto.
Our first stop is the magnificent Bulguksa Temple, a quintessential example of Silla Buddhist artistry and architecture. Dating back to the 8th century during the Unified Silla period, Bulguksa is a complex of wooden and stone structures built on stone terraces, embodying the Buddhist ideal of a unified realm. As you wander through its serene courtyards and intricate halls, you'll encounter iconic structures like the Dabotap (Pagoda of Many Treasures) and Seokgatap (Pagoda of Sakyamuni), two highly revered stone pagodas. The temple's elegant design and meticulous craftsmanship reflect the advanced architectural and artistic skills of the Silla Kingdom.
Following our visit to Bulguksa, we will ascend the slopes of Mt. Toham to reach the breathtaking Seokguram Grotto. Also established in the 8th century, contemporary with Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram is an artificial grotto housing a monumental seated Buddha statue. This serene figure, carved from granite, gazes peacefully out towards the East Sea, seemingly lost in profound meditation. Considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East, the grotto's precisely engineered dome and the lifelike, yet transcendent, portrayal of the Buddha and surrounding guardian figures showcase the pinnacle of Silla sculpture and engineering. The interplay of light and shadow within the grotto, especially as the sun illuminates the Buddha, creates a truly spiritual and awe-inspiring experience. Both Bulguksa and Seokguram offer profound insights into the spiritual and cultural legacy of ancient Korea.
Continue your journey to Busan, Korea's second-largest city. Upon arrival, visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a rare seaside Buddhist temple offering breathtaking ocean views. Unlike most temples situated in the mountains, Haedong Yonggungsa's rocky coastal location makes it one of Korea's most picturesque and unique temples. Then enjoy relaxation time at Haeundae Beach, soaking in the atmosphere of this popular destination. Conclude with a walking tour of Dongbaekseom Island, a scenic coastal park known for its lush pine trees and beautiful ocean views. Visit the Nurimaru APEC House, the modern conference hall that hosted the 2005 APEC Summit, and take in panoramic views of Haeundae Bay.
BreakfastDay 6Busan
After breakfast, your day begins at the vibrant Gamcheon Culture Village, often called the "Machu Picchu of Busan." This artistic area, popular with photographers and culture enthusiasts, features winding alleys, colorful hillside homes, art installations, murals, and charming cafés, all offering stunning city and coastal views.
Next, experience Songdo Beach, one of Busan's most picturesque coastal destinations. Weather permitting, take the Songdo Marine Cable Car (Air-cruise cabin) for a truly unique and memorable ride over the glistening water, providing panoramic views of the coastline and nearby cliffs.
Continue to Jagalchi Fishery Market to witness the bustling daily lives of locals as vendors sell a diverse range of fresh seafood. Afterward, head to BIFF Square (Busan International Film Festival Square), a lively cultural and entertainment hub filled with street food vendors, local shops, and handprints of famous film stars.
Conclude your day with some retail therapy on Nampodong Shopping Street, followed by a visit to Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park, where you can enjoy panoramic city views from the observation deck. Overnight stay in Busan.
BreakfastDay 7Busan - Seoul
After breakfast, you will return to Seoul either by coach or train.
Upon arriving in Seoul, guests will be dropped off at the hotel. If traveling by train, a transfer from Seoul train station to the hotel will be provided in a minivan with a local driver.
