Day 1Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Weave your way through the myriad of scooters and tuk-tuks as you catch your first glimpse of local life.
Day 2Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast embark on your first tour which will take you to the famed Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover this fascinating network of tunnels that highlight the resilience of the Vietcong during the Vietnam War. They adapted to underground living with established kitchens and living areas, the walls of these then safe-havens now lined with exhibitions and memorials of this dreadful time in the country’s history. Once back in the city, visit the Reunification Palace, the late 19th century Notre Dame Cathedral, French Colonial-era post office and the Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Your afternoon presents a choice of activities which your guide will discuss with you during lunch. End your day with an evening of local and regional cuisine accompanied by traditional Vietnamese folk music.

Take in one of Vietnam’s most fascinating and beautiful sights today, the Mekong Delta. After breakfast, meet your guide and drive south towards the Mekong Delta, taking in the sights of local life around you. Explore the maze of waterways throughout the Delta, admire the intricate layout of the floating markets and visit the Cai Be market which prides itself on offering quality produce. Enjoy lunch before returning to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Say farewell to Ho Chi Minh City after breakfast as you head to your next stop, Hoi An. The charming and historical town of Hoi An is famous for the preservation of its old town and offers visitors a unique perspective of historic Vietnam. Wander the streets interwoven with canals, and savor local cuisine at any of the excellent restaurants in Hoi An at your own account.

A day of exploration! After breakfast we head out for our first stop, the ancient ruins of the My Son sanctuary. Stand in awe of the statues, sculptures and temples and discover the Hindu influence in the region. Embrace the uniqueness of this complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch your adventure continues to the coastal city of Danang where you can enjoy nearby Non Nuoc Beach and gaze at the beautiful Marble Mountains.

This morning brings you a choice between two activities. After breakfast you can take part in a local cooking class followed by a visit to villages displaying handicraft, or you can have your own private guide and vehicle to explore as you wish. The afternoon is yours at leisure.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, transfer to Ninh Binh. Enjoy lunch together then check into your hotel after which you will have the afternoon at leisure to explore on your own.

Discover the sheer beauty of Ninh Binh today. The protected UNESCO Heritage region boasts outstanding natural charm, ideal for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Venture into the Thien Ha Cave (watch your heads) after which you will tour the Bai Dinh Pagoda as well as the Tam Coc & Bich Dong Pagodas, all unique in their own aesthetic design and definitely worth seeing. Lunch is included in your outing today.

Check out after breakfast and head for idyllic Halong Bay! Board your cruise boat, your floating hotel for tonight, and take in the surrounding beauty. Gently cruise the famous Bay, enjoying lunch, dinner and a tranquil night’s sleep in paradise.

Uncover the rich history of Hanoi today as you tour the city. After breakfast, meet your guide and head out to your first stop, the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, former President of Vietnam and key player in the independence of the country. Visit the Thang Long Citadel, One Pillar Pagoda and Hoan Klem Lake. You will also have a choice of other museums you can visit during this time. Continue your day of discovery at the Temple of Literature before ending your tour in the Old Quarters. This afternoon, take some time to explore the old-world charm of Hanoi by wandering the streets and neighborhoods with coffee shops and so much more to enjoy. Meet up with the rest of your group this evening for a street food walking tour through the Old Quarter.
