Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Weave your way through the myriad of scooters and tuk-tuks as you catch your first glimpse of local life.
Day 2Ho Chi Minh City
Start your day trip with a visit to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, one of Saigon’s most remarkable pagodas. Immerse yourself in its traditional Vietnamese architectural style, adorned with intricate wood carvings. The main hall houses a majestic Buddha statue, while the backside hall pays tribute to Mother Goddesses, venerable monks, and spirits. Continue your journey with a visit to the Reunification Palace, a powerful symbol of the former South Vietnamese Government. Experience history where it unfolded on April 30, 1975, when a North Vietnamese Army tank broke through its gates, marking the end of the war. Explore the war room, banquet hall, and the presidential office showcasing intriguing gifts received over the years. Next, venture to the city’s Central Post Office, a masterpiece designed by the renowned French architect Alfred Foulhoux. Stroll along Dong Khoi Street to the Opera House, a venue with a fascinating history, from serving as a bomb shelter to housing the parliamentary Lower House. Fully restored in 1995, the Opera House has returned to its original purpose and is once again a vibrant theater. In the afternoon, you will visit the War Remnants Museum. Here, your guide will share the city's darkest and most tragic moments during the Vietnam War. The museum exhibits military aircraft, weaponry, and many photographs - some of which are quite graphic. After that, you'll head to Cholon, the city's Chinatown, and visit the Thien Hau Pagoda, which is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. The pagoda's intricate friezes, carved tableaus, and impressive incense coils provide great photo opportunities. You can also explore street life with a cyclo ride through the narrow streets to the Binh Tay market, offering a wide range of products from hats to dried squid.

As we begin our cruise, take in the lively scene along the bustling waterways of the Mekong Delta. Experience the fascinating sight of various boats, from traditional fishing vessels to heavily laden cargo barges carrying an abundance of fresh produce. Enjoy the view of river life along the banks as our dedicated crew serves you fragrant tea and a variety of seasonal fruits. At Tan Phong Islet, be enchanted as you hop on a charming rowing boat to explore the hidden mangroves of the canal. When you return to the sampan, immerse yourself in history with a visit to a 19th-century ancient house. Immerse yourself in the captivating charm of Hoi An on a half-day tour of this fantastic former trading port town. Hoi An boasts a rich cultural heritage influenced by Chinese, Dutch, French, and Japanese traditions, and as a UNESCO Heritage Site, it invites you to wander and absorb its enchanting atmosphere. The tour will take you to significant landmarks, starting with the revered Chua Ong Pagoda. This ancient pagoda, built in 1653 to honor the Chinese general Quan Cong, symbolizes loyalty and justice. Continue the exploration with a visit to the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, home to the Jinshang Temple and take a leisurely stroll to the Tan Ky House, an ancestral home with a history spanning 200 years. Make sure not to miss the iconic Japanese covered bridge, a 16th-century masterpiece. Day 7Ninh Binh
Begin your journey by meeting your guide and transferring by road to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arriving in Hanoi, your guide will be ready to take you on a journey to Ninh Binh province, a mesmerizing area known locally as ‘Ha Long Bay on land’ thanks to its magical riverine landscape, with sheer limestone mountains rising up from the paddies. Once you reach Ninh Binh, savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, immerse yourself in Vietnam's rich history and natural beauty with a visit to the Bich Dong Pagoda in Tam Coc, known for its peaceful ambiance and historical significance. As the day unfolds, you will visit Hang Mua Cave, famous for its breathtaking viewpoints, including the iconic dragon and pagoda. To reach the impressive Mua Caves viewpoint, prepare for a rewarding climb of approximately 88 meters, which consists of around 500 uneven steps. The effort is well worth it, as the summit offers a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the enchanting Ninh Binh landscape. After the tour, return to the hotel.

This morning, you’ll meet your guide and driver at your hotel before embarking on a journey to Hoa Lu, the capital city of Ninh Binh Province and the ancient capital of the Dinh and Le dynasties. While little of the original capital remains, you can still explore the impressive ruins and tombs that have survived for nearly a thousand years, all set against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, your adventure continues as you head to Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning natural beauty and distinctive karst formations—often referred to as the “Halong Bay on land.” Here, you’ll board a small boat and drift gently along the serene river, passing through a series of enchanting caves. As you navigate the crystal-clear waters, listen for the sounds of soaring birds overhead and take in the breathtaking views of jagged limestone hills rising dramatically above vibrant green rice paddies—perfect for capturing memorable photographs. Finally, you’ll return to the pier where your vehicle awaits, and by late afternoon, you’ll arrive back in Hanoi, reflecting on a day filled with history and natural wonders.

Day 9Halong Bay
Check out after breakfast and head for idyllic Halong Bay! Board your cruise boat, your floating hotel for tonight, and take in the surrounding beauty. Gently cruise the famous Bay, enjoying lunch, dinner and a tranquil night’s sleep in paradise. Start your day by departing from Hanoi to Halong Bay, enjoying a scenic drive through the beautiful rural countryside. When you arrive, board the Emeraude and begin your adventure into the stunning bay. As you cruise along, you'll be surrounded by magnificent limestone karsts, with your first stop at Ti Top Island for a refreshing swim or an easy mountain hiking adventure to witness the breathtaking panoramic views of Ha Long Bay. Return back to cruise and enjoy French-style Crepes on the Sundeck. Then visit Pearl Village, you have the option to go Kayaking and enjoy a variety of interesting experiences. Back on the boat, dive into the flavors of Vietnam with a cooking class and demonstration. Try your hand at making spring rolls and watch the sunset slowly set over the Bay. Afterward, savor a delicious dinner buffet, and finish off the evening with some fun night-time squid fishing (seasonal) or watch movies.

Consider waking up before the sun rises for the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the day dawning as the sun comes up over the water and savoring coffee, tea, and cookies on board as the horizon begins to brighten. Relax and rejuvenate with a morning yoga class. Today, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Sung Sot Cave, also known as Surprise Cave. Board a boat for a guided tour of this breathtaking and expansive cave located within the Ha Long Bay cave complex. On your way back to the port, take in the sights of Hon Trong Mai, Dinh Huong, and the stunning islets and limestone mountains. After disembarking, you’ll return to Hanoi.
